Howdy! I'm a one man shop, located in Sarasota Florida. I can fix yore shootin irons, slap some leather around 'em and get you on the way to Cowboy Action Shooting, Reenacting or "playin Cowboy". I can also provide firearm training that prepares you to carry a concealed firearm, shoot a Cowboy Action match, be a reenactor with real firearms and blanks and train actors and theater/movie personnel in the practice of safegun-handling. I'm a small shop with a big heart and strong wish to do my best to keep my friends and clients heeled, safe and happy. My motto mirrors the Old West "Do your best and do it right, because it's the right thing to do!" I also shoot Old West guns in SASS/CAS matches and am an active Old West Reenactor so I'm not a fence sitter! My site is new, so string along and we'll see where this trail takes us. Meanwhile, If you see anything you like just contact me and we'll talk. THANKS for your interest.

I like Old West style firearms. They are simple, functional and rarely break. When they do, you need someone who could bring yore broke gun back into play. I hold a certificate of Basic Gunsmithing from the American Gunsmithing Institute and have been working with guns for over 30 years. My skills are those of a Armorer, skilled in the functions of most common Old West arms. Colt Single Action Army, Ruger Vaqueros and Blackhawk, 1866/1873/1892 and 1894 Winchester rifle, 1894 and model 336 Marlin rifle, 1897 Winchester Shotgun and some Double Barrel shotguns. I can chamfer your barrel throat, replace and fit broken springs or pins and other parts, polish and clean up your action to make it smoother and more reliable, fix minor blemishes on your blued pistols, rifles or shotguns, polish your 12 gauge's chamber so your shells pop out smoothly, and other services. I try to always use manufacturers parts, only a few after-market parts occasionally for functionality, if you want me to. Ain't had one I fixed brought back broke, yet. Hope I never do, I like pleasin' folks! I like repeat customers and friends, and I'll work to keep ya happy. I won't take any job I'm not sure I can do because I'm not in this for the money, but I'm working on my service pricing. I'm not set up yet to take in firearms shipped to me, but I'm working on it! If you are local I'll come to you to pick up your gun for service. If there's something you need, feel free to contact me for information. By the way, I'm also a Glock Armorer, should you need one.

My leatherwork is nothing fancy, 'bout the same as you'd find on any cow trail or Cow Town street in the 1800's. A cowpuncher might fashion himself a scabard for his new shootin' iron and carry it proudly. Depending on his needs and pride, he might buy a fancier rig at the end of the trail to replace his "workin gear". But it was that "workin' gear" that he carried his iron day-in and day-out and it rarely failed the hard-workin' and hard-chargin' cowpuncher. I also can do some Cavalry or Military leather goods so if you need, just ask. I'm a middle of the road kind of crafter, nothing fancy (or expensive) but it looks good and will serve you well. I use quality 7-9 oz vegetable tanned leather, waxed thread and brass or nickeled hardware. I dye it to your choice of color, hand-stitch it all together then I can even "pretty it up" by stamping or setting spots or conchos, if you like. Your holster is then wet moulded to fit your particular hog-leg and hand oiled for a lusterous finish. Working on pricing, but let me know if you see something you like.

I'm also a fair hand with wood and build some props and scenery for reenacting. So far I have a Chuck Wagon that is made of plywood and made to break down so it's portable and you can use it for CAS or Re-enacting. It sports an 8 ft long by 30 inch wide bed and 36" spoked wagon wheels. I'm also working on a Buckboard and a Freight Wagon. I'll have plans available soon and have pricing then. Working on a kit version also so If you're interested email me and let me know.

Hope you like my website! If you have any questions the BEST way to contact me is by clicking on the email button, or call me and leave a message at (941) 313-4440. I'm in/out frequently, but check my emails often. (Check out Our Old West Re-enactment group at www.owlhoots.org) See ya 'round the campfire!
